ZZZ Location

Triple Z Nguni Stud is on the farm Bethel in the north-eastern Free State. Its longitude and latitude is S27degrees, 13minutes and 59seconds; E28degrees, 52minutes and 32seconds.

From Johannesburg travel South on the N3 to Villiers. After crossing over the Vaal river and before the toll gate, turn left onto the R103 alternative route and travel south on this road for approximately 34 kms. Pass the first turnoff to Cornelia where the silos are and turn left into the second turnoff to Cornelia. Follow the S-bend and turn right at the T-junction in town. First left onto the gravel road and first right on the road leading out of town. Cross over the bridge as you leave the town and follow the road for 400 meters to the Standerton turnoff to the left. Turn left on the Standerton road and follow this road for 1.8kms where you will see the Triple Z entrance on the right.

From Harrismith, travel north on the N3 to Warden and from there, follow the R103 alternative route north. Pass the Vrede turnoff to the right and follow the R103 to Cornelia. Turn right into Cornelia, follow the S-bend and turn right at the T-junction in town. First left onto the gravel road and first right on the road leading out of town. Cross over the bridge as you leave the town and follow the road for 400 meters to the Standerton turnoff to the left. Turn left on the Standerton road and follow this road for 1.8kms where you will see the Triple Z entrance on the right.

Description and weather:

Bethel’s grazing consists mainly of sourveld with small patches of sweeter grass on and around koppies. Two seasonal rivers cross over the farm and the rest of the water supply is from boreholes. Weather is typical Highveld conditions, with summer rainfall averaging 650mm per annum and temperatures rarely exceeding 30 degrees C. Winters are dry with minimum temperatures below freezing at night. Altitude is 1600 meters above sea level.
